I just tried using the Search function here on the boards for a recent thread on "[3.5]" and "Charge". I found the thread after looking back a few pages in the Rules thread (since the Search function was REALLY slow), but I wanted to ask the moderators the following question:
The Search function didn't like "[3.5]" term, saying that "3.5" was too short and therefore needed to be longer to be valid. To run my search I ended up using wildcards at either end to find the brackets, but I'm assuming that's what is making the search so slow (yes, it's still running as I type this
). Is there any way to make the search parser recognize the brackets as valid characters so wildcards don't have to be used?
I realize we may soon drop the [3.5] tags (yes, I just read the thread about that in this forum) but I would imagine a reasonably large contingent are still going to use the search function for [3.0] tagged material (unless the forum is splitting into D&D Rules 3.0 and D&D Rules 3.5, which I hope it isn't!).
Just a thought. Thanks.
