I'm really surprised about the Map Folio 1. For only $14.95, you get 32 full-color maps...that you can get for free from the Wizards site (in their "Map-A-Week" section). I hope they weren't counting on this being a runaway bestseller.

The wilder's wild surge is very similar to how I did my vorastrix sorcerer currently in the house rules section, but they have an interesting way of creating a penalty for it. Usually wotc likes the all benefits, no drawbacks, x times per day way of doing things, this time they chose the do it whenever and once in a while pay a big price. We'll see how it works.

I'm actually really looking forward to the Map Folios. I'm reasonably sure that my printer would explode if I tried to print any of the full color maps, so having the option to buy them will be pretty handy. At less the 50 cents per map, the price is right for me.

The new minis look great. If those are representative of the figs we'll see in the booster packs (as opposed to minis touched up for marketing purposes) Archfiends is going to kick butt.

Well, looks like only 1 book for me. Players guide to Faerun.

Psi Handbook -maybe depends on if I think they have fixed the psionic mechanic.
Complete Divine -maybe depending on what is in it.
The map folios -maybe, maybe not. Depends.

Won't be buying anything else until July with the Serpent Kingdoms and the Planars Handbook.

Then its Tome of Horrors 2. (april? May?)

However, the CSIO, and Wilderlands Boxed set are on the horizon post Gen Con. Assorted Necromancer adventure products. Troll Lords City Sourcebook 2: Maps. Whenever that comes out...

My aquisitions have gone from monthly to quarterly. This is good...

Aaron.

The Psionics preview gives me good signals. A LOT more options, more psychic classes, what looks like a pre-formed campaign setting in it, and what appears to be psychic classes with a few little boosts. No mention of psionic combat modes anywhere. Very, very potentially gorgeous.

The bit that strikes me most favorably is the option to play Level Adjustment races with 1 HD at 1st level. Perhaps it is a little strong penalty (not the number, but rather the amount of checks to which it applies) and it could be better if the DM just lessens some of the racial abilities instead, but it could work very well IMHO. However, I think it would have made much more sense to add this variant to Unearthed Arcana, which is indeed the "book of variants"...

Nice minis! Really nice bone devil... the pics they've used in the In the Works previously have always been the actual minis, not touched up so I'm not worried about that.

But There's not much else coming for me from wizards in the next few months...

*blink*blink*

Half-Giant in the Ex. PsiHB.

Release in April...

Hmm, it feels alot like the Dragon 319/Dungeon 110 combo is going to be a promoshot to the release of Psi...
