Ack! Beat me to it!
(Internet godz ate my initial post...TWICE!)
1) Baton = Club. Make it Extended Range (its already throwable)/Returning to twirl it to effect in combat.
2) Consider the Battle Dancer from DCv1 for multiclassing, or even as a non-Bardic base for the PC concept.
3) If the PC "went to Catholic School", she'll need to wear lots of plaid...and consider taking Devoted Performer (to MC with Paladin) and the Divine Bard variant class as a base. Bonus: a horse (granted by the Pally's mount ability), while not standard for most Bards (except in rural schools or certain collegiate programs), dovetails nicely with the cheerleader personality- My Little Pony/Unicorns/Pegasai, etc. probably grace the rooms of many a cheerleader at some point.
4) Consider multiclassing into Stalwart Sorcerer or Battle-Sorcerer: you'll get access to spells that have a cheerleader's vibe, like Color Spray and the various Prismatic spells.
5) Besides buffs, load up on Sonic spells.
6) IME, cheerleaders like sparkly things. Psycrystals (and other psionic items) spring to mind, so consider Psions or Wilders for multiclassing...and don't forget Ioun stones.
