Seeking Regular game

Rather than rolling 3d6/4d6 drop lowest/whatever other die-rolling method, you instead pick your abilty scores based on the system in the DMG. All scores start at 8, and you have 25 (in this case-other common numbers are 28 and 32) points to distribute among your abilties. Buying up to 14 points is a 1-for-1 point cost, but 15-16 is 2-for-1, and 17-18 is 4-1 (I think. Don't quote me on that.) A well-rounded character can have higher total ability bonuses, whereas a character with an 18 in a stat won't have so many points to spread among the rest of his abilties.

Hi there... my name's Allen, and I've been thinking about playing/running a game on EnWorld. I've been playing and running FTF D&D games for almost 27 years now, from basic D&D onward. I've shied away from 3.5, have run 3.0 exclusively for a long time, but I'm considering a campaign with the 3.5 core rulebooks in the Forgotten Realms setting.

I'm thinking about 4 players, 25 point buy (8 base attributes), PC's starting at 2nd level with 900gp starting wealth. Masterwork items should be the best that you can buy (no magic, please).

I figure I can post 2-3 times per week, so it will be a slow game. Are you all interested?
Why don't you start a thread about it, then? :)

I will... seeing this thread decided for me, that's all.

Tell you all what... if you've already started a character, do a 32 point
buy instead of 25. I'll start a new thread.

Whatever you want. I recommend making a title that's short and to the point. If you have a name for your game, you could title it that. Or possibly, 'Recruiting for a game here'. The title of the thread isn't that important.
