The other night my daughter wanted to play a video game. Thinking, I went downstairs and pulled out my old Sega Nomad*. New batteries, blow in the cartridge slot, and turned right on. She's now enjoying Sonic the Hedgehog 2. I'm impressed that it not only still worked but that it was hassle free.

* I have my Sega Genesis and Sega CD still. I just don't have a TV to hook them up to. I need to fix that.

Sega had some classic games, absolutely. And the old tech was definitely a lot sturdier, for all its limits.
