Well, yeah, that's the interesting thing....you guys can't revoke the OGC-ing of those names, really, right?

Well...since the carrion crawler and the beholder, et al. were never OGC to begin with*, one could argue that NG did not have the right to make the names OGC.

I wonder if future printings of TOH have/will have designation of those names as 'IP of WOTC used by permission', or if they'll be removed.

* - they existed in draft versions of the SRD that were distributed under the "gentleman's agreement", but did not appear in the final copy. The SRD drafts were, IIRC, marked as not final and did not release anything into the OGC. Technically, at any time before publishing the released SRD, WOTC could have pulled the plug on the entire project.

At least, that is my understanding, but IANAL.

If you ToH 1 fans want to see it updated to 3.5 you need to go to the boards of Necro and let them know. right now they are probably just going to do a web update. If enough people sound off and convince them there are enough people out there who want a 3.5 book, they'll look into doing it.

They need enough feedback though. So go to their boards and sound off in the Tome of Horrors section, if you want an actual 3.5 ToH instead of a download.

Right now the hardcore fan base on the boards has it going as a download.
