Finally broke down and started reading Harry Potter. I had read the first two about 4 or 5 years ago but figured I'd start over and try to read the whole series. I want to get a few under my belt before I make my judgement on the Pot-man. :D

Just finished book 2 last night. Hopefully the rest go quick.

Just got Scott Lynch's The Lies of Locke Lamora today... read about it here, I think, and it sounded like a fun read. :D

The Shining (Stephen King)
Ooh, that's a goood novel. I loved reading that one.

Just finished Mother London by Michael Moorcock. Beautiful writing, wonderful characters, great portrait of several decades in a fascinating city. Recommended.

Just started Nine Princes in Amber by Roger Zelazny. For some reason, this one has eluded me over the years (it came out in something like 1970). My god, it's absolutely incredible!! I am about 100 pages in (since last night). Unbelievably compelling. The narrator has a great voice, the story is a page-turner, the ideas are rich and original. How the hell have I missed this for so long??
