Serenity Roleplaying Game

I have recently purchased the Firefly series and Serenity film DVDs and I am currently about halfway through watching the series.

It strikes me that the setting is ideal for a roleplaying game and the crew of Serenity typify a player character group.

I was just wondering if any one has had any experience playing the Serenity Roleplaying Game?

It appears to have limited support as it was published in 2005 and has only had one supplement (an adventure called, Out in the Black) which has had mediocre reviews.

I've got the book. Its a good read, and great source material. I'm not hot on the system, but thats been covered by others. We used Savage Worlds to run a Firefly campaign (using the Serenity book's background information, and coverting a lot of the flavor), and that worked out well and was a lot of fun.

I don't know if this is a question to ask Cam or Jamie (or anyone else who knows and reads this thread ;) ) but is Serenity RPG a "dead" game?

i.e. Are there currently no plans for any future supplements and/or adventures?

Cheers!

Thanks for the reply!

I have purchased the book via Amazon - the background material sounds pretty comprehensive and faithful to the source material - either I will or wont like the cortex system - both points of view appear to be well expressed in the thread!
