Btw Morrus, how does one-handed/two-handed and oversizing work with ranged weapons and character sizes?

Example: I have a standard rifle on my large android, can I one hand it? And can I oversize it according to melee oversizing rules?

There doesn't seem to be rules for that, for ranged weapons.

I haven't written any rules for that yet. Generally, I think, you'd give the character a larger weapon. A Gatling gun rather than a rifle, for example. Off-the -cuff I don't see a major issue with one-handed use of a ranged weapon of a size category smaller than you.

Heyo another one of the players here. I play Alerana and well one of the things that I'm wondering the most about is Spartan Battle School if its a starting job or not. Becouse it is gonna change my character if it turns out its not. So yeah I'm curious about that. And its also one of the reasons why I gave the sugestions for having all starter jobs in the same place. It would remove all confusion really. Ofcourse thats just me.
 


What's the difference between intuition the stat, and intuition the skill? does the skill simple just add to the stat, or are they separate things and why?
 

Hah. That's an old skill from before Intellect became the two attributes. Errata - rename it insight for clarity, It's for sending motives, spotting lies, that sort of thing.

I have to disagree. Melee weapons handedness is generally all about the bulk and unwieldiness of them. Ranged weapons, especially firearms, they are two-handed more due to being able to steady the weapon for accuracy. I can, and have, held a 22-long-rifle one handed to fire it. I have also stood and fired a SAW 2 handed{5.56 automatic machine gun} In both cases I am sure I scared the target instead of hitting it.

I would recommend a -2D penalty to hit when wielding a smaller 2-handed weapon in one hand.

Have you ever been an Ogron while trying to fire a puny human rifle? I'm guessing not!

I think rather than a penalty for one handing a rifle, it should occur for using too small weapons - say my large android tries to use a size small pistol, it would be like wielding a toy pistol meant for a five or 10 year-old. so maybe a 1 or 2 d6 penalty for every 2 sizes it's smaller than you? so for an enormous creature a medium/small weapon would be -1(2)d6 and a tiny would be -2(4)d6 (or simply impossible) and so forth.

and on the one handing smaller weapons, maybe set a minimum strength of 6 or so (for non-sidearms perhaps?) to hold it steady? I figure it wouldn't take much agility or intuition to hold steady an M249 but maybe a lot of strength.
