I'll give it a go:

Non-d20

WFRP 2nd Ed (have bought it yet but it's a matter of time)
WFRP Bestiary
WFRP Armory
Swedish rpg Mutant: Undergångens Arvtagare (Mutant: Heirs of Apocalypse or something like that. Started out as a pretty straight up Gamma World clone I think)
The "Monster" box for Drakar & Demoner (Swedish cultural equivalent to D&D. Rules wise based on BRP/Rune Quest originally. Box containing four books. Lots of nice artwork, first RPG product I owned :) )
Usagi Yojimbo RPG (go Fuzion!)
Usagi Yomjimbo - Monsters (heck I don't really need it but there are some adventure seeds in it so... yeah)

d20/OGL

Wheel of Time
Engel
BESM d20
PHB
DMG
MM
Black Company CS

How about a joint list?

Usagi books are essential.
Then WFRP with bestiary
Adding Wheel of Time because it's gorgeous
Engel because it's just so damn cool
Finishing it off with BESM d20 because it's a great toolkit.

Best thing about all this? Since I'm Swedish I'll have a whole bikini team of players just standing by! To play with! And roleplay with! In my native language! Yay!

Question... do we get dice or are we supposed to make those ourselves out of coconuts 'n stuff...? :D

Well, since the Core 3 are now optional:

Players Handbook 3.5 (for compatibility with other gamers who like D&D)
Star Wars, Revised Core Rules (I'm a SW fan, this one is a no-brainer)
d20 Modern (Flexible, fun, usable for multiple genres easily)
Iron Heroes (for fantasy RPG's, I'm coming to see this as More D&D Than D&D)
Monster Manual 3.5 (only for lack of an even better bestiary for a wider variety of genres)
World of Darkness (v2) Core Book (I like more than d20, and it's an excellent and flexible book)
Unearthed Arcana (1994 version) (For tinkering with and changing around the d20 items)

Tough. If I have access to the SRD, then:

Complete Divine
Complete Arcane
Complete Adventurer
Complete Warrior
Eberron Campaign Setting
Expanded Psionics Handbook
Unearthed Arcana

If I can't get away with the SRD, then:
Core 3
ECS
XPH
UA
CW?

I could live alright with the former. I might miss some FR material and BoVD/ED, but the Completes, XPH, and ECS cover most of my needs. If I have the Core 3, though, it gets difficult. Maybe I'd just play d20 Modern or d20 Star Wars.

1) City State of the Invincible Overlord
2) Wilderlands boxed set (Don't yet actually HAVE it, but in one fell swoop it will replace a stack of old, used stuff)
3) Expanded Psionics Handbook (Very seldom used, but I have at least one player who likes to play the occasional psion)
4) ... I can't actually think of another book I NEED aside from the Core 3. I simply do not USE anything from other books (although I DO own a few). Actually, it should probably be FRCS as when I was still running the Realms (before I took the Oath of Forswearing) I used it a lot.

D20 SRD eliminates need for the XPH, and you probably would want to have the Players Guide to the Wilderlands if you are going to use CSIO and WLBS.

So that would be 4 books.
