Seven Strongholds

Mystic Eye

I got this book the other day and have given it a light read over. This book is very cool in my opinion. Great job Robin and Atlas. This is sure to be a winner!

Thanks for the kind words, Doug. When we were working on the book, I was really happy to read on these boards that some D20 fans seemed to be looking for just this kind of thing. At the moment we're hard to work finishing the sequel, Seven Cities (by Matt Forbeck), which should be going to the printer before we leave for the GAMA Trade Show this weekend!

So did Seven Cities make it? I'm enjoying the first one, just looking around a bit at Seven Strongholds, and hope to see a sequel with more magic. Fiendish Fortress? Flying Fortress? Plane Shifting Fortress. Seven Cities should be cool.

late...urgh!

Alas, no, we didn't send it to press before we left. :-( We had a gazillion GAMA-prep things to do, when we discovered that some numbering changes to the map instructions hadn't made it to the cartographer. In our pre-con exhaustion, we decided to wait until we got back to pick the nits very carefully and make sure it's well proofread. (Example problem: Incorrect numbering meant that both docks of the ferry in one city were on the same side of the river!) Needless to say, we'd rather see it done right than done sooner ... in some cases, the messed up numbering wouldn't matter, but in others (like the ferry) it would.

We're back at work on it this week, and I hope it will be ready for the printer in another day or two. (Sunday and Monday were spent on miscellaneous catch-up.)

Glad you're going for quality over speed...I'll be looking forward to it...

I have read this book all the way through now and can say that it is very, very nice. I really love the depth that Atlas went to in each of the Stronghold entries.

Once again, great job!!!!

Thanks, Dave! In the department of mutual admiration, I have to tell you that Peter Adkison was showing me his copy of your city sourcebook, Geenavue (I hope I spelled it right). We eagerly pulled the map out of the middle and gurgled appreciatively over it for a good long while, like toddlers in a candy store. I especially liked the sewer side of it -- nice touch! Gonna have to get me one of those...

darnit all. you just reminded me that I'm senile. I was planning to bring one back to you. When I realized I forgot, I was then planning to mail one. OK, I'll get that in the mail next week (since there's no mail today). Email me if you don't get it in 10 days....meaning I forgot again. :-(
