the Jester

Legend
In my experience, most adventurers like to get laid- whether it's the barmaid in the tavern, the 1e wandering prostitute table, or whatnot. My question is, do other dms out there ever refer back to these encounters? Any pcs get sued for paternity or anything? Are there offspring running around in Hommlet and stuff in your campaign? And if so, how do the pcs deal with their pregnancy and/or parenthood? For example, one of the pcs in my campaign has a half-dragon love child that she's foisted off on a monestary...

Does this even come up in your games?

Worded perfectly by the way!! :D

Ya, in the current game the Wizard got married, and fast, before the bride really started to show. The other two humans (wizard is also human) all have children running around or about to run around. While the elf and half elf have mostly stayed clear of all of that. It's interesting wow the different races look at this sort of thing.

Well, in the campaign of mine about to go into Hiatus, the Ranger and the Cleric are in love, and definetly are lovers.

And the female rogue (Played a female, mind) isn't afraid of these activities. She's hit on a minotaur before (But only because he was 'plot important', and those muscles...).

No kids yet, tho.

I had backstory come to roost on my character. In a previous game I was playing a raaather promiscuous elven bard. My character had a habit of sleeping with any good looking women in the towns that he passed through. When he came back to town he started hitting on one of the human PC's. A few sessions into the game he decided to back way the heck off when he discovered that she was a half elf. Considering that this town had very few elves living in it my hcaracter realized that there were only so many possibilities. The GM's in my group have a real tendancy to make things in character history really come home to roost.

Just the guys in the Red Storm campaign about Angel Marie. :) She'll nail anything that moves...almost. ;)

In my homebrew game, the PCs have had a little bit of romance. The Fighter nearly settled down with a barmaid, but when things got serious between them he left, feeling the call of adventure (and the other PCs needed his help). I don't think they would have consumated their relationship, not without birth control.

The Wizard was hit on by a "witch", a druid living out in the woods. She seduced him and slept with him; he doesn't know it, but she did it do bear his child, which should be strong with magic.

Then the Fighter-turned-Paladin tried to rescue a diseased married woman. He wasn't able to, but in the time they spent together they fell in love. Which made it more difficult when he finally had to kill her in order to save her from the disease-curse that was transforming her into a demon. I don't think they did it either.

In one old AD+D game awhile back, the DM had us all get married to NPC's, to add some politics to campaign, ect. Also for a dowery, my character got a griddle of strom giant strenth, I was playing a cleric, the DM thought something like that would not be bad on me. But I gave it to the heavy fighter. DM was NOT happy. :D
I think sex should be handled "off camera". You fine a "lady of the evening" and you go off with her, fade to black. But, the DM can do things like kidnap a PC's lover for roleplay reasons, ect. But romance with NPC''s can be fun, if handled tastfully.
