Shackled City Hardcover - worth the Money?

In a word....... Yes.

Great Job to all the authors/designers, etc. Ill definately buy a compiled Age of Worms in this format as well.
The HC oozes polish right down to the Stormblades statistics level by level should you wish to use them at any time. The "lost" adventure was definately a welcomed addition, giving that final push to help the party reach level 4. The maps and artwork are top notch.
Great stuff.

I have to agree. I missed the "starting" adventures in Dungeon Magazine back then, but I think I could even recommend the SC hardcover to anyone who *has* collected all the magazines. There's so many little improvements in there that just click and fit in with the rest - rumors, little details, the stormblades, background information.

Two minor nitpicks, though: the missing "aura" descriptions from the Dungeon issues, and the statblocks still being in "classic" format - but the latter's already been adressed. I'm looking forward to the day Paizo puts up a "new format" stat block pdf :) - maybe already errata'ed?

Any one know any online retailers who carry this? I am interested, but not in playing $60, and Amazon and BN both don't have it. I've been spoiled by 20-30% the deals I usually get, along with free shipping.

All thumbs up here.

It's a gorgeous book. I especially like the subtle way the "shackes" disappear from the edges as you get near the end.

Nice touch. :)

Thanks!

Hmm... with shipping, 10% off retail. Amazon has so spoiled me (all my current D&D recommendations are 34% off with free shipping)...

34%? Is that the standard deal, or did you sign up for something special?
