Going OOC

Jemal said:
I have one objection. If I am getting such a majestic item, the you should divide my share of the gold between those that are getting nothing (Arcan'ra, Suldan, and to a lesser extent Gavin, who is getting only a potion). OR I'll put it into the party fund. (speaking of which, who was keeping track of that and holding onto it?)

*shrug* I was operating on the principle that one day there'll be a cool greatsword or a cool kukri, and that's the day that Sul'Dan or Gavin will come out ahead.

OOC: I fight with Katars! LoL....

IC:

Gavin will remain on watch for anyother desert peoples trying to approach his companions.

Speakin in a hushed tone, "We best to investigate the tomb that was spoken of, unless, you wish to leave lose ends," grinning to himself, "...if the bounty contains some sort of healing draught...or my share of loot will be needed...."

"Well then, if there is no other business perhaps we should be on our way.. but er... what are we going to do with all these wagons and trade goods? I don't think we could take them into the tomb." He turns to one of the men and says "Do you think you people could take us to this tomb, and then watch the wagons while we are inside investigating?"

"They owe us a blood debt. No doubt they will watch over the wagons for us, or they will shame their ancestors." I pause, and almost smile. "But it would be imprudent for them to do so, too close to the tomb. Perhaps there is a place they could wait, at a safe distance."

OOC: katar, kukri, kris .... they're all funky dagger-thingies :)

After the treasure is divied up, the tribesmen agree to take you to the tomb. From a distance you can see that there is a large camp working on the excavation. About once an hour, a large trolley is rolled out of the dig sight. A couple minutes later, another empty trolley is rolled in. There seem to be many destitute half-orcish workers laboring around the camp. Occasionally, you see well-trained, disciplined men strolling about, although they seem to prefer the shadows of the camp. At all times, there seems to be at least two guards standing at the entrance to the tomb. This all seems to be very routine for those in the depression.

OOC: how many well-trained armed men can we count. Also, didn't the person playing Tores drop out? I would give the wand to Sul'dan, seeing as how he is a sorceror.

Arcanra keeps his bow in hand, ready to nock an arrow if need be.

Alexander tests his bow string, then gets an arrow ready to nock as he takes up a position beside Arcanra. "So does anybody have an idea of what to do with those men? I cannot tell from this distance if they are Zhents, but the orc-kin would seem to point towards their being evil, or at least allied with it." As he speaks he tries to gauge the distance between themselves and the encampment.

OOC: One question - Does my new Bastard Sword come with a sheath? Also, the 125 GP I declined.. I'ld like it given 75 to Arcanra, 50 to Gavin.

OOC: Tores left? OK, in that case I'd best take the wand. Which means Alexander should definitely not feel he has to give me any money!

"We have a scout. I suggest we use him." I gesture at Gavin, "Do you think you could get close enough to bring us more information about the enemy? Numbers, uniforms, leaders? We will be ready to give you covering fire, should you need it." I tap my bow.

of the armed guards, you see perhaps 15, but from the tales you've heard, and from just the way they are moving, you have a strange feeling that perhaps two of them would be a match for your entire party. Of the half-orcs you see perhaps 90, although they seem to be doing entirely menial labor, and don't look all that pleased about it....
