Shadow Evocation and energy types

When mimicking a spell using the Shadow Evocation spell, does the spell have the "type" of the spell mimicked?

For example, if I use Shadow Evocation to mimic a fireball, is the damage of the [fire] type, and therefore be able to cause additional damage to creatures with the [cold] subtype?

What if I mimic a magic missile, could I effect incorporeal creatures with no miss chance since the mimicked spell has the [force] descriptor?

I am pretty sure that the spell acts just as if it was the original one, which includes the type as well.

As far as I remember, the differences are that the mimicked spell:
- grants an extra Will save to disbelieve (for lesser effects)
- may have less HP (if it's a creature/object) and less AC
- uses the DC of Shadow Evocation
