Shadow Master

I do like the idea of summoning undead that are incorporeal like the shadow and the wraith. The more I think about the more I feel that I want shadow and darkness powers and the ability to summon undead (which could be considered in my creatures of darkness and sometime shadows) if that would work well with the way I want to go with this character. I can do without the rogue powers if I can some abilities and powers that of better use to me then getting the abilities of a rogue.

The only experience I have with the favored soul class is DDO.

Summon Undead V (Spell Compendium, page 215) gets you a Shadow. Summon Undead IV (Spell Compendium, page 215) gets you an Allip. Both are Sor/Wiz/Clr spells (at 5th and 4th level, respectively).

You could always be a psion specialized toward metacreativity, and then just claim that your astral constructs are jagged and shadowy; instead of being thought-energy from the astral plane, they could be terrible manifestations of your nightmares, made real?

Shadowcaster is pretty terrible. Not only has it wonky mechanics, which don't allow it to use any per-day-customization of its mysteries ('spells') at all - the mysteries themselves are very underwhelming for their level.

Another idea that's terrible is mixing several casting classes. Why not go straight Cleric into Master of Shrouds (which is indeed an interesting PrC)? You'll lose enough spellcasting progression from MoS that losing more really isn't warranted.

True, but starting as a MS at lv 4 (my listed way), instead of level 7 (When Cleric has +5 base Will) means you are farther along ability wise.
