Shadowdancer Hide

Quick question. How long does it take a Shadowdancer to use Hide in Plain Sight? A standard action, free action or other? Since it's a supernatural ability, one would assume it's a standard action. For that matter, how long would it take a normal rogue to bluff and then hide?

HiPS is an extention of the hide skill. PHB, p 76, Hide skill entry, Action: usually none, you make a hide check as part of movement so it doesn't take a seperate action. However, hiding immediatly after making a ranged attack (see Sniping) is a move action.

I'll second this...

And to your 2nd question... bluffing (without the improved feint feat) is a std. action, and hiding (the skill) is a move equiv., so one turn.
