Shadowdark Western Reaches Stretch Goal: New Classes

It should either be situational, or a choice but with a cost/risk.

I think something like reckless attack where you get advantage but grant advantage is an easy mechanic to represent going berserker. If it you can use it whenever but it last 6 rounds and you can't turn it off then your taking a risk whenever you trigger it that what makes sense now doesn't in two rounds.

Yeah I almost mentioned exactly that ability.

I like that, but I think I'd just make it until the end of combat, so that you don't have to track rounds.

Last min predication before I fall asleep and catch whatever it is tomorrow.

I still think Barbarian is too easy (its Conan!) and I like mine, while @Whizbang Dustyboots makes a good point about how Pirates could already be done (and is why I put my own Pirate on the backburner months ago) BUT Pirates seem so in line with the Shadowdark gameplay loop AND she could expand on the Boat rules maybe?

So, I hope for Pirates lol.

You're right about the gameplay loop. If she does go with pirates, I hope we get a designated Cursed Scroll from her centered around that kind of play, just to see her take on things.

Looks like the paladin got the most votes for the martial class. Will be interesting to see how she designs it.
