The Shadowrun D20 thing came about because of an April Fool's joke on the website http://www.shadowrunrpg.com/april2004/ .. so I don't think there's any danger of it becoming a reality.
Yeah and the game rocks, although it can be rules-heavy.
I've been running a Shadowrun campaign for nearly 10 years now... they're just about to go in to the Renraku Arcology after the Shutdown !
