Shaman's spirit Armor Class?

I don't have the Player's Handbook 2 with me, so I was just checking with my DDI subscription. I can't find a reference to an AC for the shaman's spirit. The description of Call Spirit Companion says that "The spirit can be targeted by melee or ranged attacks, although it lacks hit points. If a single melee or ranged attack deals damage to the spirit equal to 10 + one-half your level or higher, the spirit disappears, and you take damage equal to 5 + one-half your level. Otherwise, the spirit is unaffected by the attack."

But does that mean any melee or ranged attack against the spirit automatically hits? Or does it have to hit a certain armor class?

IIRC:
Shaman' Spirit = Summoned Conjuration. As such it has the typical Defences of a Summoned Conjuration. These are the summoner's defenses (not including any temporary buffs/penalties).

There are feats that boost a companion's AC, which I highly recommend. Played right, a shaman can easily become a poor man's defender.
