Shattersouls are born adventurers. Daring and headstrong, shatttersouls seek out difficult challenges to satisfy their trillseeking ways.

Shattersouls are said to the descendants of an epic hero ripped into many pieces by the energies of a powerful spell. Each piece of the hero's shattered body absorbed some of the magical energy that destroyed and created a warrior that avenged its parent's death.

Shattersouls do not reproduce like most races. When he or she chooses, a shattersoul may break apart its body with a powerful ritual and create offspring from different pieces of their soul. The stronger and more experienced the parent, the more children are created. Every newborn shattersoul is born close to full maturity and contains remaints of the personality and phyiscal features of an important person to the parent, an ally or enemy.

Shattersouls look very much like humans but some can take on the feature of other races like pointed ears or small horns. Their skin and haiir comes in varies colors depending on who their inspiration was. The maximum age of a shattersoul is unknown because most will eventally reproduce or die in battle.

Twin Axe Risk (standard; at-will) The shattesoul daredevil moves up to 5 squares then makes any two hand axe attacks. If the shattesoul daredevil is hit during this movement, it gains a +1d6 bonus to damage rolls to these attacks.
Thrillseeker: On the first round of combat (and the surprised round, if shattesoul daredevil gaind one), the shattesoul daredevil gains a +1 racial bounus to attack rolls and defenses.
Brave: The shattesoul daredevil has a + 1 racial bonus to defense against fear effects.
Second wind: (standard; encounter) The shattesoul daredevil is healed 22 hit points, gains + 2 to defenses until end of turn, and rolls an critical hit on a roll of 18, 19, or 20 until the end of its next turn.

Thrillseeker: On the first round of combat (and the surprised round, if you gain one), you gain a +1 racial bounus to attack rolls and defenses.
Brave: You hav a + 1 racial bonus to defense against fear effects.
Restored accuracy: When you use your second wind, you roll an critical hit on a roll of 18, 19, or 20 until the end of your next turn.
Consult the Others: When taking and extended rest, you may psychically contact a family member for knowledge. You gain training in a skill or proficiency with a martial weapon or implement.

Needs some skills. I'd suggest Athletics and Dungeoneering.

I'd make brave +5 to saves vs. fear as opposed to +1 to defenses, myself.

Consult the others should say "Whenever you take an extended rest, you may choose one type of implement or one weapon. If you choose a weapon, you are considered proficient with that weapon until you next take an extended rest. If you choose an implement, you may use that implement with powers that have the implement keyword until you next take an extended rest. This ability does not allow you to qualify for anything that require proficiency in weapons or implements which you are not actually proficient with."

I don't like Thrillseeker. Perhaps this; "You gain a +2 racial bonus to damage rolls against creatures that have not yet acted in an encounter"

Restored accuracy doesn't seem right. Perhaps as a racial power?

Trigger: You roll an 18 or a 19 on an attack roll.
Benefit: You may use your second wind as a free action. The attack that triggered this power is considered a critical.

Not sure if that's balanced, though. I might make it triggered on just a 19.
 

Consult the others is supposed to be the skill bonus. How about this for it

"When taking an extended rest, you may psychically contact a family member for knowledge. You may choose one type of implement, one skill, or one weapon. If you choose an implement, you may use that implement with powers that have the implement keyword. If you choose a skill, you are considered trained in that skill. If you choose a weapon, you are considered proficient with that weapon. These effect last until you take an extended rest. This ability does not allow you to qualify for feats, powers, paragon paths, and epic destinies that require proficiency in weapons or implements which you are not actually proficient with or require training in skills which you are not actually trained in."


I might just drop Brave. Making it +5 to saves vs. fear is the same as Halfling's Bold. Or just make it a +1 to Will.

Thrillseeker and Restored accuracy is supposed to represent a shattersoul's biological love for fighting and bloodshed. They run headfirst into battle and feel extreme pleasure in a challenge. Everytime they get stabbed or drop a major foe, there's a chance for one more son or daughter. +2 to damage is too weak to represent that and the power is backwards.
