Since this wasnt even noticed in my previous post

A question that has came up in my campaign. Is a Druid Shifter ( masters of the Wild) susceptible to the same spells.magic items that would adversely affect an iron golem ( assuming the Shifter is in Golem Form)? in particular such spells or items that might seperate the golem shell from the animating spirit (elemental)?
how can i successfully attack a shifter in such a form??

As I understand it, the Shifter gains the following golem traits.

-- AC
-- Physical stats
-- Attack form (the slams)
-- The abysmal movement rate.
-- And the golem "magic immunity" trait, which is exactly as outlined under the golem description. It's pretty comprehensive.
-- The rust vulnerability (which is, I believe, an exceptional "ability" of the golem).

The shifter does NOT get:

-- DR...this is supernatural. No 50/+3 DR for him.
-- Any construct traits. This means that, while the Magic Immunity will still block most spells, you can still use poison, disease, energy drain, etc...as long as those effects don't stem from spells. In other words, a wight can energy drain him, but Ennervation can't. Weird, but true by the book.
-- The poison gas breath. I -think- that's a supernatural ability.

I'd say spells specifically designed to deal with golems would not work, because the shifter's creature type does not change.

That said, the shifter lacks the DR and hit points of a real golem, making him vulnerable to conventional weapons. He'll be able to dish out lots of damage, and will be all but immune to spells, but he won't have the staying power of a real golem.
