Shifter in elemental form?

Why not? Air elementals flight is their natural movement.
The beholder flight is Exceptional, but if a Dragon can fly, an air elemental can too.

In MotW, page 11 (or so) it states that wildshaping into an elemental allows for *all* abilities, whether supernatural, spell-like or exceptional. This would logically also apply to Shifters' Greater Wildshape.

Hmmm, there is a sort of logic to that, but if that were the case wouldn't that only apply to elementals up to size large. Otherwise, assuming enough hit dice, Shifters would be turning into elder elementals with DR 15/+3.

I just presumed the Druids ability to wildshape into an elemental with all abilities to be unique to the Druid unless specified otherwise.

After I woke up I looked and it's at the top of page 12 in MotW, in reference to Wildshape. Looks like the best shape for a Shifter (who uses wildshape to effect his shifting) and for a Druid is going to be an Elemental in almost every situation, subject to maximum hit dice, of course.
