Should Arcane Strike be a swift action?

Arcane Strike is rather powerful when combined with Wraithstrike... or Wraithstrike and Whirling Blade.

The biggest limitation is that most arcane casters who have access to those spells aren't really cut out for melee. When you get into multiclassing Sorcerer/Monks, Sorcerer/Paladins, Wizard/Swashbucklers, and whatnot... or gestalt characters... it can get very scary.

What's Wraithstrike. I don't know Wraithstrike. I don't want to see Wraithstrike. Bring Wraithstrike to my table and I'll define the word "broken" again.

Ah well.

I even allowed Arcane Strike with ranged weapons and noone has used it in any way yet that was similarly bad as psionic novas... So the problem IMHO is not AS as others said above. Even the builds mentioned above might cause much more damage (though not as fast) by using the spells as spells...
 

My personal preference is to keep feats as free actions, and magic items and supernatural stuff as swift/immediate. You don't need a swift action to change your Power Attack or Combat Expertise modifier.
