D&D 5E Should I Keep My Volo's Guide

An upside down printing could be considered a collector's item, if there haven't been many of them.

If it is actually rare, maybe you could sell it on E-Bay and score $$$.

I would replace it.

The only D&D book from older editions that was really worth much as a rare printing was the original first printing of Deities & Demigods with the Melnibonean and Cthulu myths in it. I still regret giving that up. I have never seen a mis-print have any significant value. People usually want a "good" copy.

I wasn't even thinking he should keep it to sell, just because it is fun. For as long as I can remember, my dad has had a bottle of budweiser that came with an upside-down label. Not for money or anything, just a curiosity, and he said "You know what, that's funny. I'll keep that one."

I don't generally find things like that entertaining/fun (I'm not a grump about them, either; things happen), so I'd probably send it back. That said, I generally don't care enough to order a second copy for daily use, so I can see where you might have a different take.

There might be some investment value, down the road, but I doubt it. If you do decide to keep it, I'd say do it just for the novelty. But, just in case, I like jaelis' idea of seeing if Chris Perkins will sign it. If nothing else, it adds to the novelty.

I dunno man.

I hope you weren't showing him the Mind Flayer section. That stuff will scar you.

I tried to skip past *that* picture but he was having none of that, and demanded to see. No shock or horror at all.
(He also sat through the end of Raiders of the Last ARk unphased.)
He's a rock.

Haven't you been reading my posts? Don't I act like one half the time?
;)

(Well, actually when snapping the pictures my 6yo son came down and I showed him the book to see his reaction. He was very confused for a couple seconds. Then we had to go through the book as I told him what all the monsters were.)

...I'm glad I'm not the only one that has had to do this with the kids. :D
