Should weapon/implement enhancement bonuses apply to "auto hit" damage rolls?

First post here, but don't mind :hmm:

The question in the topic refers to powers such as Wizard's Flaming Sphere, which automatically deals damage to creatures starting their turn next to the sphere. There are similar clauses found in powers like Wall of Fire, Wall of Ice, the Warlock's Armor of Agathys, and numerous Fighter daily stance powers.

On a somewhat related note, should powers that use extra damage rolls when certain conditions are fulfilled such as Warlock's Hellish Rebuke and Dire Radiance At-wills, and Blood Mage's Blood Pulse power also apply enhancement damage?

Thanks for reading.

So... they _do_, certainly. Should they? I'm of a mixed mind there. I think it ends up rewarding multiattack and stacking things somewhat overmuch for it to be added to every damage roll, but I like it on at least some of them. Like how twin strike can end up more powerful than a 7W flat daily, due to damage adders... that seems poor.

Depends on whether the power has the Implement keyword. Armor of Agathys, for example, does not have the Implement keyword.

For the first two, yes. It's a damage roll for a power with the Implement keyword.

For Blood Pulse, the secondary effect of the power is phrased oddly enough that I think you could argue the intent either way.

Thanks, I hadn't noticed the keyword bit in regards to Armor. Seems too easy for beginners like myself to pass by

Weapon and implement enhancement bonuses apply to attack rolls and damage rolls for powers delivered through the weapon or the implement. The effect of starting your turn adjacent to a flaming sphere is a damage roll for that power, so it gets the bonus, so do attacks that you make by sustaining the sphere.

Damage that is not rolled, such as cleave damage, doesn't get a bonus.
