Show me your dice

Dice n Cards.png

These (Chessex) Lab Dice are the most aesthetically-pleasing dice I've ever rolled. They're a couple grams heavier than the normative weight of dice, and just feel wonderful. We ended up with two sets of each thanks to a postal error and a considerate FGS seller.

The cards were a local find in an antiqueish store. The (unfortunately non-supernatural) proprietor gave us a great deal on them; said they were sold to the store still in packaging, but local folks found them "creepy" ... the Maya ethos and similar color pattern made them a wonderful pairing with the dice.

d20 that's contained in every Magic 8 Ball
I've had a Polish-language Magic 8-Ball for years and years. Never had much reason to use it until we re-started a T2k game. Then it became a focal point for a campaign along the Baltic Coast... I think the Lt. used it once and the company ended up in Lithuania. :p

Here you go. The same dice I have been playing with since around 1980 or so... My best friend got them for me for a birthday gift that year. The wear and tear shows, of course. :)

The blue d10 is the one that once rolled and landed on its edge/side. It stayed like that for over 5 minutes before I gave in and just picked it up to reroll it.

The green d20 is one of the rarer Gamescience dice with +X instead of 10's, so you read +1 as 11 and +0 as 20. It has long been my favorite and (although I know they are out there), I've never actually met someone in person who has one like it. (Please don't bother telling me "I have one" if you do, it only counts if I meet you in person. :p )

When I pass on to the outerplanes, the green d20 will be buried with me, while the other 5 dice are bequeathed to my lifelong friends formed by playing D&D.

Translucent dice, preferably ones that could be mistaken for candy, will always make me happy. Same goes for glittery dice.

I love candy corn, so these dice are some of my favorites:

Everyone hates Candy corn, but I like it. I think largely due to nostalgia only. We were poor growing up, so candy corn was the candy we'd get as a treat, none of the "expensive' candy like candy bars :p So that gives me good flashbacks when I see it

I'm away from home all this month, otherwise I'd post a pic of my solid brass dice, my PolyHero rogue dice and the dice from my Mentzer Basic and Expert Sets.

Instead, I'll just comment that the OP should have called this thread "Show us yer pips!"

I like candy corn because it somehow doesn't contain any of the things that make me sick when I eat them, which is an ever-growing list as I get older, it seems.

They look like they smell sweet!

I wish! It actually does look like there are a few people making scent-infused dice:

Years ago, I was working at a company that hired a female temp worker for a brief time.
One day she'd come into work wearing one of those shirts with the strategically placed D20s and the caption "These are natural"... I kind of rolled my eyes and snickered a bit when I saw it - it was definitely not something most of us would consider wearing to work, y'know?
She noticed me snickering, and jokingly asked me, "You don't think these are natural?"
To which I replied,' Madam, a gentleman would never imply that a lady's... dice... were loaded..." :D
