My name is Christian Walker and I write and publish zines. I am currently working on a little project called, "Lair of the Screen Monkey." Published in 1/4 sized digest (4.25" x 5.5") format, the Lair of the Screen Monkey features photos of a GM's screen and the space around it. There will also be a captions, written by the GMs, to accompany the photos.
Below is a rough draft version of the intro:

There are many terms used to define the thankless job of gaming group leader.
Game Master
Dungeon Master
Referee
Story Teller
Narrator
Administrator
None of these, however, capture the essence, the mania, nor the enthusiasm of the poor soul trapped at the head of a gaming table. No, I’m afraid there’s only one way to describe that person:
Screen Monkey
The screen monkey lives behind his cardboard reference tables, frantically rolling dice, chattering, cavorting about, and furiously waving his arms to entertain those who have assembled to watch his act. If he’s a good monkey, he receives a soda, a pat on the back, or a simple, “Thank You.” Other times, though, there are fierce debates (Ooh! That pesky rulebook!), and cries of displeasure from the audience, causing the monkey to screech and pound his chest in frustration.
Nothing infuriates the screen monkey more than when an interloper steals a glance behind his cardboard shield, hoping for a glimpse into the monkey’s lair. The space behind the screen is a no man’s land, and players had best stay away.
This humble publication dares to tread where few are willing to go. Gird thy loins and prepare for an exclusive look into the secret lairs of screen monkeys from around the world. Each page features the view from the other side of the shield. See through the monkey’s eyes; peek into his mind if you dare…
Lair of the Screen Monkey is a collection of photographs and captions submitted by GMs. I like to think of it as a “coffee table book for gamers.” Who cares about full page, color photos of lighthouses and such? Show me the monkey!

I'm hoping that you would be interested in sending me photos of your screen and workspace. Images should be submitted in .jpg format at high resolution, if possible. 300dpi should suffice. The photos cannot feature people (at least not their faces), just your workspace. A caption should accompany the photo, consisting of a few lines of text that describes your space, thoughts on GMing, etc. 50 words max.
Below is a link to my own screen. Here's the caption I wrote: "There are many things behind my screen - Dungeon mag, notebook, pencil and dice. The most crucial item, though, is the Mountain Dew. Nothing juices up a monkey like the Dew. "
My Screen
You can e-mail your submissions to: christian@scrollworkspress.com . Include your name and caption. If I select your photo, I will let you know. You will also receive a copy of the zine when it is published, but no financial compensation is offered. I will occasionally give copies of the zine away when I fill mail orders, and will even sell some through the site for 50 cents. (just enough to cover postage.) So no, I'm not making any money off this. Like most zines, it's just for fun.
I need between 28 and 32 photos, so start snapping, scanning, or preparing those .jpgs! The submission window will remain open until the pages are filled.
