Shuttle pilot is a gamer!

Meh. At least he's not a d6 gamer. It would be hard trying to play with the "bucket o' dice" game in space.

Maybe for the safety of his shuttle crew, he should try True20.

Now there is a product that you really need to get a patent on before spaceflight becomes available to everyone!
Now there's an idea! Don't roll your dice, chuck them at the wall and see what you get! :D

I still think that unless the dice were awfully big you'd have a hard time reading them.

"What is that? A six? Wait! It's settling a bit...now it looks like a nineteen. But it is cocked a bit more toward the twelve. Is this a hit, a crit or a miss!?"

This is the same reason that "Wacky Wall Walker" dice never really caught on.

I still say that magnetic diced rolled near a steel plate is the way to go. The cool part is that you can just spin them in midair and bring the plate up to meet them until it gets close enough and then...*pank*.

"Roll damage for your 8d6 Fireball!"

*spin*....

*pank*
*pank, pank, pank*
*pank, pank*
*pank*

"Get that one before it gets sucked into the ventilation system!..."

*pank*

Hehe. I can't wait for the future to get here!

Yep, all the more reason to go with the True20 System or Mutants & Masterminds RPGs.
