siamese twins, flanking and a taste for flounder..

inconsequenti-AL got me to thinking about an old idea of mine i never finished.

i wanna make a bbeg who is a siamese twin. attached by a longish band of flesh at the small of the back would be a fighter and a mage.

i assume the two would have seprate skills and levels, but would probably share some if not all of their physical stats.

a ton of questions come to mind, both mechanical and plot based.

can one be put below 0 hp and the other still fight? increased or decreased movement? is it fair to have them be mobile enough to stand semi-side by side AND back to back? what kind of mount does a 9-12 level mage/9-12 lvl fighter siamese twin ride?

can both bodies take actions? does the fighter have penalties to ac for "synching" with his partner? does the mage get an ac bonus for being attached to an armored tank? does everyone who even approaches them get an aoo?

i can see them being narcisistic OR self loathing OR mutually loathing. which has the best plot and creepy factors and why?

FINALLY- is it way cool to have the sorc be a necromancer who has raised his dead fighter half to keep protecting him?

any other coolnes you can help me and them with?

Other than being seen as a monster themselves, low CHR. There would have to be some type of team/tandum skill, make you wonder about size and touch based attacks, if they are one large ceature or two creatures one small one medium or such.

You know there is a Farley Brother movie starring Matt Damon to touch on this subject.

Most of the questions you pose depend on the placement of the two conjoined individuals. They way you describe it, I imagine them being fixed back to back, so one looks forward and one looks backwards. Constant fights over who gets to see what's in front of them :)

It all depends on how much of their bodies are joined, whether they count as two beings or one.

They despise themselves so much they want everybody to be like them, to ease the lonliness, so they create an evil plague/curse that causes people to meld together/grow a conjoined twin.

Good lord, that's horrific. Good show.

You could go the Master Blaster route of Mad Max: Beyond the Thunderdome
- you know Midget genius on the back of giant imbecile.

Or in your case Puny necromancer on shoulders of undead barbarian tank

Even better: when the PC's first fight them, both are alive. If they kill one, the other escapes through a handly Plot Hole and returns to their lair. If the src is alive, he casts animate evil conjoined twin on himself, raising his brother as an undead bodyguard (level in Devoted Defender, for added goodness!). If the fighter survives, he finds a scroll of the same his brother prepared, allowing him to cast it without being a spellcaster, and animates his twim as a pseudolich.

Rent "Bride with White Hair"! or borrow it from your local Hong Kong action movie affecionado.

It is a Hong Kong action movie that has a BBEG who is a siamese twin (male and female or maybe bi-sexual).

It is kind of a strange action movie (especially if you are only used to American action movies), but has some interesting fodder for your idea. It has swords and sorcery and kung fu, and some wacky plot twists. It requires some substatial suspension of disbelief.

At least you will know what you want to include and what (if anything) will look like you borrowed it from that movie.
