Silent Spell Feat and Midnight

When my new campaign starts, my character will be a Channeler. As my
1st level feat, I chose Silent Spell. I figured it would be easier
to hide the fact that I can cast spells if all I had to do is move my
hand to cast them rather than having to vocalize my intentions. My
question, though, is how my hand gestures work? I mean, the book
says that a caster must have at least one hand free for Somatic
components. Does this mean I just wave my hand in the air in front
of me? Can I casually work the magic under a table or behind my
back? How would a person go about hiding something like that?

Silent Spell is a good idea for Midnight. Unfortunately, it still want protect you from Astiraxes.

Anyway, to answer your question, I'd say it might involve a disguise or bluff check. Thats a call for your DM really.

Off the top of my head, I'd call for a Bluff (or Disguise if it is higher) check with a DC equel to 15+Spell Level.
