Silicon based creature/race

Hey all, I wandering if anyone know if there is a race or creature playable in rpg system that is silicon based, like a living rock, crystal or what not? I know there is the Osibianmen from Earthdawn is one, and the race fromMythic Races is the other I know of but are there any others?

There are metal based ones from Oathbound, the Silvers, and in Oathbound Arena they have a new metal race, but I forget the name. Not quite silicon, but not necessarily organic either.

Terry Pratchett's trolls, as seen in the Discworld books. There's an RPG adaption using GURPS that is fairly good, if you like GURPS.

Classic Traveller, Adventure 13: Signal GK also does a cracking job of imagining a silicon based form of life.

Why not choose a pre-existing creature and just SAY it's made of living crystal, or whatever? I think a dwarf would be a good base, for example - I can't really think of any special qualities, other than cosmetic, that a silicon creature would need to have. Maybe some slight natural armor if you really want it - just drop a dwarven racial ability or two in exchange for a slightly improved AC. Other than that, it's just down to the physical description to make it an entirely different race.

It would have to... The last I read they are hoping to be able to mimic "bug hunts" and the aliens are a silicon based life form.
