Silver Bullets Chapter 1:L'Arruolamento

Monique

The man smiles and takes Monique's hand. "Why, I'd be delighted. Can't promise that I'm much of a teacher, though. By the way, my name's Harry." He leads Monique up the stairs, to a wooden door marked "201."

"Well, it's been a pleasure, Harry. Have a nice day!"
Monique waves him goodbye when they approach the door hoping he'll leave and won't see who's going to open it. She says a friend was waiting for her but she had no idea what could lie behind that door. After he turns away she knock a couple times.
If he doesn't leave though, she'll knock anyway, but she'll act a little embarassed, trying to make him catch the drift.

Cyrus

The tall man chuckles. "My name's Ali. I'm from an organisation who is...interested in these Silver Bullets. Did they give you any information? Perhaps a location? You don't have to give me these answers, but it would be in your best interest if you did."

James

"Well, I used to be involved in politics," Mia says. "A bunch of little things, to pay the bills...I remember one time I had to infiltrate a gang and get some blackmail for the mafia. You could say my employers have been less then scrupulous." She smiles briefly, then glances around. "Including this one. Don't quote me on this, but there's something suspicious about this whole group."

Jean-Jacque

"Ah, a guy after my own heart," the man says, chuckling. "Garage? Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's one down on the other end of the building. No, you have to find your own place to stay, though you could sleep in here if you're really desperate. Cigarettes? That'd be Silvio's, two blocks down. Anything else?"

Monique

Harry leaves through another door as Monique opens this one. It's a medium-sized room, fairly empty except for three desks, each with a computer on them. There are a couple of windows set into the side, reflecting down onto the sunny day. Monique looks around and sits down...

"Is there anybody in?" she asks, but not too loud, as if she was hoping not to get response. She sits in front of a computer and starts prying.

Cyrus will make a knowledge (streetwise) check at +4 to try to connect this man's face to a crime syndicate. If he cannot, he will give into his suspicions that any group as tight-knit and and competent as the Silver Bullets (a group that tracks down talented uknowns like Cyrus easily) would tell this guy those details if they intended to. He'll say "In my best interest? Listen, buddy, go back to the buffet on the east deck. If the SB wanted you to know this **** they woulda told you."
If he connects this man to the SB's or another merc group, he'll say "What do you mean, in my best interest? Who are you anyways?"

"I don't know," James says cautiously. "I've been involved with many organizations who did good work for the community, or the world, and tried to remain as anonymous as possible. Why should these folks be any different? Yes, they are a little secretive, but what company isn't when it comes to hiring new employees?"

James will make a Sense Motive check. He's looking to see if she's some kind of undercover police officer or perhaps just fishing for more information from James.

Grinning happily, Andrew boots up one of the computers, and starts digging through first the hard drive, then any network the machine might be linked to.

Let's see what they've given me to play with... He thinks, now fully immersed in his hacker mindset.

(OoC: What timeframe is James in, relative to Monique? Is she in the same room as him, or is it happening earlier/later than his own present?)

Cyrus

Cyrus can't seem to pin the man's identity, but notices an emblem on his jacket that looks vaguely familiar.

Ali shrugs. "Very well then, Mr. Wolf. Although may I advise you, my organisation would love to have as much information as possible about this group of...mercenaries." He says the last bit with a bit of disdain. He turns away, and then turns back and says to Cyrus "If you change your mind, I'll be in Room 19. Trust me, you'll be rewarded handsomely for any information."

James

Mia's questions seem to be honest to James. "I guess you're right. But the question remains...what do they have to hide? In any case, I'm glad I at least have co-workers. Even if things get dangerous, I have people like you to back me up, right?" Mia flashes James another unsteady smile.

As Andrew and Monique begin their search on the computers, the scene fades to black. They are presently in different time periods, with Andrew being a couple days ahead of Monique.

Actually, that should be, Andrew, Monique and Roger. Funny how that works out alphabetically and chronologically.

Cyrus gazes at the setting sun as the port of Sicily pierces the sea mists on the horizon. He is torn between endangering himself by giving away the Silver Bullets' location and his curiosity of the man's origin and this reward he means to give Cyrus. Silently, Cyrus creeps ino the cargo bins and retrieves a knife and a MAC 10 and heads for room 19. His fist hesitates before knocking, but he remembers that he has no loyalty to these mercs. Yet.
Cyrus knocks at the door, beneath the green 19 and the peephole.

"Of course," James says as he gives her a large smile. "Now, let's see if we can find someone who can tell us what the hell we're supposed to be doing."
