My biggest problem with Otherscape is that so far every game I have found running it is running Shadowrun setting using the Otherscape rules.Since you mention PbtA, Metro:Otherscape has PbtA roots and is a fantasy cyberpunk roleplaying game that removed Moves from the system.
It may be a little lighter than you want, but there is Wetwired, which is basically Shadowrun using the same rules as Warlock and Warpstar (a simpler approach to WFRP and WH40K).I am looking for ideas for systems that I could run Shadowrun that are not as complicated and crunchy (and, let's be honest, mess) as Shadowrun itself. So far I have been eyeing Cypher System, Daggerheart, Savage Worlds: Sprawlrunners, Runners in the Shadows and Shadowrun: Anarchy. I am looking for more potential options, especially in the area that is less crunchy than D&D 5e but not more simplistic than Forged in the Dark games - it is for a group with this unique combination of players where some call D&D "math fetish, not a game" and others argue you cannot do anything but Moves in Powered by the Apocalypse, so I need to pick games more balanced between the two extremes, more towards rules medium or slightly rules light.
They are similar, but not the same. You can see the DNA of Cyberpunk 2020 in both, but they diverge in some key aspects. I think Cyberpunk Red is pretty simple, with a few quirks like netrunning (which, granted, is more simple than Shadowrun's Matrix). Once you get it down, it flows very smoothly. The Witcher is more complicated, with more subsystems.Does Cyperpunk Red and The Witcher rpgs use the same system? ARe t hey simple enough?
From those that I already listed, which ones you feel require the most effort to make them work and which ones the least?
