the Rager PrC gives benefits like rage, immunity to fear, the Great Ki Shout feat, and haste for 10 rds a day at 10th level

A controlled fury based class built on characteristics of lions.

The things that make it a good class are it's roars and it's conveyance of most great cat's greatest 3e weapon, pounce.

In conjunction with strange circumstances, being able to get a full attack at the end of a movement can have explosive effects.

The Singh Rager prestige class has many things going for it: a rage equal to a Barbarian's (including Greater Rage, acquired at the same level that a pure Barbarian gets it), the ridiculously good Pounce ability, Remain Conscious for free, and excellent Will Saves.

What really pushes the class over the top, however, is Great Ki Shout. With the very high DCs that can be achieved with the Rager's natural +4 bonus, and the fact that you can use this ability for free when making a full attack (which you can do after moving with Pounce), you'll be able to singlehandedly destroy most combats.

ironically, I just had a Singh Rager character denied in a game because of too much power.
This was before the Pounce ability kicked in.

If I only coulda seen that Pounce attack with a Shield-Bashing PC. :drools:

From memory:

- good Fort and Will saves
- fighter BAB
- d12 HD

That alone would be pretty good, but they also get:

- fear immunity
- rage and greater rage as barbarian, up to 5 times/day
- pounce, with unlimited uses
- haste 10 rds/day
- Great Ki Shout as a free feat
- extra Ki shout uses/day (4 + Cha bonus)
- +4 bonus to Ki shout save DC
- "Roaring Strike": Ki shout and full attack in one action

I removed the greater rage, limited pounce to once per encounter, and removed the Roaring Strike ability.

They can only use Ki Shout with Roaring Strike, not Great Ki Shout.

Triggers CLEAVE and possibly GREAT CLEAVE.
