[sblock=OOC]After the body is searched, she asks for another tap or two of the healing wand from Lookspring and drinks one of her own potions of Cure Light Wounds (for +8=18 HP before wand again). Anybody else get enough out of that to level up? I did. So next time we rest the leveling up will take effect, right BigB? I know we just rested before this though.

P.S.- BigB, was that Con check against the massive damage she got hit with? (Half of her HPs in one shot) And if it was, did my reducing the damage by 4 stop her getting killed since she rolled such a low Con check? I just wanna know for RPing reasons if she was actually that close to death.[/sblock]

ooc: Phoenix was close to death but would have taken a couple more rounds of bleeding to push her over the edge. The last round of everyone hitting was very timely for Phoenix. And yes, when you rest Phoenix, and anyone else that has the exp, can level.

Phoenix gladly finishes off the Ogre with a flair only she could have added. The brute convulses a few times and lies still no longer breathing.

Search check for Rowan needed.

As you take a moment to look around you can see the Ogre has been here a while a rolled hide against the wall appears to be his bedding and smells badly as well. It appears he was in charge of a newly added outpost to stop anyone from using this tunnel or at least anyone not authorized. He does not have as much a permanent camp as the others which suggests he may not always stay there.

IC: Rowan searches the ogre and digs around in its bedding a bit. He looks under rocks, but is a bit distracted, glancing frequently at Phoenix.

Nodding with approval to Phoenix's handling of the downed ogre, Lookspring looks somewhat relieved. Well, looks like she's no worse for wear. Good thing too, I don't want to be the one taking blows like that. He turns his attention to the ogres nest. Crouching low, he begins scanning the area for footprints other than those of the giant.

Rowan searches the dead Ogre and finds the usual hide armor, better condition than the other Ogres had and much thicker offering more protection, great club, javelin and pouch of money 5pp, 204 gp, 20cp. Weapons and armor are sized for large creatures. Rowan seems diatracted as he searches the Ogre as if he expects something is watching them or waiting to ambush the group.

Lookspring searches the area for tracks easily discovering the smaller tracks of medium sized creatures among the huge tracks of the Ogres. The tracks lead down the tunnel opposite the way you came.

Noticing Rowans distraction, Phoenix decides to search some herself just in case. After they have gathered anything of interest (she's not interested in the large weapons or armor), she looks around and says "Well boys, we ready to continue then?" When they are ready, she falls back into formation and continues down the tunnel.

Lookspring points out the scuffs on the ground. "The tracks continue past the ogre, hopefully we can still catch them before they reach their masters." He retrieves his handaxe and checks all his gear before taking up his position in the front once more.

Rowan shoves the coins into his backpack. He has no interest in the armor or weapons. "Yea. Let's keep moving."

As you leave the Ogre's area the tunnel narrows once again although still large enough for 2 medium creatures side by side. The absence of the light makes the tunnel seem darker. You continue until you feel it is time to rest estimating the world above is well into night.
