Sinister Spire(con't RBD)(Orsal Judging)

Hp 26/37 ac20 t14 f17

Yelping in pain, Lookspring dances backwards, trying to get behind Rowan to use him as a human shield. He points upwards and says, "Bugman! Half man, half bug, all ugly!" Once behind Rowan he leans to the side and fires another pair of arrows up at the creature.

OOC - Moving 10' back to get behind him and then using rapid shot again.
Lookspring Rapid Shot R1 (1d20 9=10, 1d6 2=6, 1d20 9=23, 1d6 2=5)

Everyone can now see their attacker, a drider climbing down the side of a building. It is about 2 stories up. Phoenix and the dwarf are beneath the drider, Lookspring and Rowan are about to pass underneath it.

ooc: need initiative check from Rowan

The drider casts web on the group before any can react. A many-layered mass of strong, sticky strands begins grabbing at your limbs, clothing and gear.

ooc: reflex saves needed.

The dwarf is completely stuck in the webbing.

OOC: Rowan probably reacts last. If the drider is within range upon his turn, he will try to strike it. If not, he'll try a strength check to break free of the webs. Either way, he'll rage. I guess I'll wait, though, to make a roll.

Phoenix and Rowan are both caught in the web. Lookspring quickly dashes to the edge of the spell avoiding most of its affects. His shot at their attacker misses.

Round 2:

The drider content to keep his distance releases a lightning bolt at the free lookspring for possible 21 pts damage (reflex save half damage). The bolt ignites the web as Phoenix takes 4 fire damage, Rowan 1 fire damage, and the dwarf 1 fire damage.

Phoenix and Rowan can make strength (DC20) or escape artist (DC25) checks to be free of the web this round.....although they will be free next round regardless as the web is burning.

Rowan hates to put down his guisarme for his bow. So he just tries to free himself before he's burned any more.

OOC: strength check 11. oh well.
