What about Fan Fiction? Maybe a nice little story can be included with each dinosaur picture. I have some stories I wrote a long time ago that could be dusted off and added to the site.

Not exactly. I'm looking for something more birdlike. More gracile, and feathered. Think of a large roadrunner with teeth and claws.

"One of the smallest of the Songbird Basilisks, the Bartok's Wren Basilisk is an animal weighing but a few ounces. It's feathers are a dull greyish-brown, with dark brown display plumage during breeding season among the males. In total length it is 8 inches long, and stands about 3 inches tall.

"The animal's talon (the sickle claw) is rudimentary, barely larger than the other claws of the foot. It relies on the claws of its hands and its teeth to slay its paralyzed prey. It hunts small mammals and reptiles, insects, and scavenges the carcasses of larger animals.

"Shy, it can be easily tamed, and is a quick study.

"Not recommended for homes with small children."

A sample. Anyone is welcome to try their hand at illustrating the beast, black & white or color. Think of it as a bit of practice for more important work.

I am sorry you are right every artist in this place should be all over your offer in a 1/60 of an hour. unless they like getting paid

Will you have these bird creatures on the site with the dinosaurs? IMHO, that might detract from the site. Will you be able to get some professional writers to do the dinosaur write ups? It could help to sell the artwork.

Fanfic? Not yet. In all due time.

With luck I should have the first variant basilisk up on the web by the weekend. Complete with detailed description.

Pennywiz, don't worry about the questions. I'd much rather answer loads of questions than what some people post.

Hastursaur: Is that picture one of yours? It's a nice cartoon dinosaur, but not what I'm looking for. It's colorful, and the lines are clean. But it could be more animated. If it is an early effort, it's a dang sight better than anything Aaron Williams did at that point in his career, and shows promise for the future. (The rejected cartoons Aaron has in the back of his Nodwickcomic are pretty dang dire.)

The bird creatures are the dinosaurs.

It will become clearer once Mythusmage is up and running. Right now I'm waiting for the DNS change to propogate through the web. When that's done I'll be able to upload the site.

I'll be doing the write ups myself. How well I do is up to you.
