Size increase as a class ability?

Would a Template work? Lycanthropy, specifically Werebear, includes a change to Large.

Ohhh... Lycanthropy template upon a Shifter character? I think that could be fit in thru Roleplay and character creation. Makes more sense than Stoneblessed.

Such a feat sounds pretty powerful, is there an existing feat that sets a precedent for doing so? I'm often hesitant to homebrew anything because me and my buddies tend to accept only what's RAW or discussed for balance, but that idea sounds appealing.

I know Complete Arcane has a few feats such as Necropolis Born, Night Haunt, Soul of the North, etc, that grant a few first level spells as spell-like abilities that can each be used once per day.

The only other feat I know that does similar is Complete Arcane's Innate Spell, which requires 3 other feats and assumes you cast 9th level spells in order to cast a 1st level spell at-will.

With those other feat examples, I don't think your suggestion would be considered balanced, but I appreciate the creative thinking!

Yes precedence is there...you just quoted some stuff. And in PF there is rogue talent you can cast a 1st level spell twice a day as a spell like ability.

That being said, you can't stipulate RAW in the responses from your non RAW questions
