Daily Illuminator: Munchkin In Target: Bullseye!

Last year there was a test done involving Munchkin being in several Target stores. The test did well enough to warrant a second test. According to the Daily Illuminator article linked to above, both tests went well enough that Target now officially carries Munchkin.

Good job. I knew it had been doing well here (one of the Targets near where I live was a test store,) but it's always tough to tell if something is a local fluke or if it's indicative of a larger trend. With so many doom and gloom scenarios being tossed around about companies who make rpgs and other gamer products, it's nice to see a company doing well.

I think so too. As an outsider looking in, there seem to be a lot of interesting things going on over there. Most of it seems to be positive.

Speaking as someone who was in a 7 person Munckin 3 hour game New Years Eve, this news is great.

The next time I'm with my boys in Target, and they want to look at/buy some Pokemon cards, I can look at/buy a Munchkin game.

There seem to be some plans to do something a little more with GURPS this year. I had started a thread elsewhere about it.
