Skill requirement for a Druid/Heirophant.

I have a player who wants to be a Druid, with the Heirophant PrC from the DMG. However, the skill requirement includes Knowledge(religion) at +15, which keeps Druids out until epic level. (If this isn't accurate, I apologize. I'm at work, so lack access to the books, and only have his word for it.) Do you think it's an issue if I substituted the requirement to be Knowledge(nature) for the above requirement, or does that make the combo too powerful? Should I perhaps add another requirement to make up for this change?

Didn't the original, FRCS Hierophant precisely have this indicated, ie Skills required: Knowledge (religion) or Knowledge (nature) X ranks?

AR

I believe so (I sold that book not long after I bought it, so I can't reference it to be sure).

It makes perfect sense to me, for what that's worth... ;)

The original class was Kn: Religion.

The FRCS errata added Kn: Nature because they realized the whole Druid issue that you've run into.

3.5...sigh. Like the changing of Bracers of Health BACK to Ammy's and the Dimensional Lock spell being 8th instead of 5th, they forgot to use the errata.

*shakes head*

Even without the errata change, the player could make Knowledge (Religion) a class skill either through a level of "Human" racial levels or the Cosmopolitan Feat.

Is the Cosmopolitan feat core? And how can you take human racial levels? Has that been indicated as a possibility anywhere?

Anyway, I think I'll just make it so either one works. It apparently has a history of being like that anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem.

I would. The prestige class is specifically designed for Clerics & Druids. To require the Druid to take an additional feat seems wrong to me. Out of curiosity, what special ability is your player planning on taking? I'd go with Divine Reach, but that's just me.

Cosmopolitan is from the FRCS, and Monte published human racial levels on his site (along with the other core races).

Not sure; he's a new player, and another player that's a friend of his has been helping write him up. I'll ask about it, though.

Ah. I don't have or use the FR stuff, and I never really looked into Monte's stuff yet. I don't even know how to wrap my head around the concept. How does that work? Is it just like adding humanoid hit dice?
