i like the idea that there have been many slaad lords, but most have been destroyed (either by their own actions, by Ygorl or Ssendam, or by another powerful entity they crossed), are in hiding, entrapped, wandered off and got lost, or succumbed to some other unknown fate.

I think many of the original slaad lords were corrupted by the baernaloths, becoming the first of the obyriths.

Any in particular that you think might fit that mold?

The Queen of Chaos seems an obvious candidate within that mold (prior to FC:I, I tended to view her as an outcast Slaad Lord who'd fallen to CE). Cabriri and Dagon potentially, and likely some dead ones. I'd probably exclude Pale Night and Dwiergus from a corrupted slaad origin and put them purely into a more orthodox out of the Waste origin, given their penchent for experimenting upon/exploiting the Tanar'ri; they seem more CE by way of E mixed with C than C mixed with E.

It'd be an interesting idea to have multiple "families" of Obyriths, all of them being ultimately tainted by the Baernaloths, but some being corrupted true slaad, or corrupted non-slaad beings of Limbo, versus other Obyriths formed in the Waste and sent into the Abyss.

Will there be a Chaotic Codex for them?
Since there's no hint of an FC3 featuring neutral evil fiends, I really doubt it. If we see any more monster books like the Draconomicon -- and none are on the schedule as we know it -- I'd guess it'll be something from the inner planes or the Prime Material.

while that would be totally cool, i have to agree with Whizbang that the lack of FC3 means similar books are less than likely.

I'm still holding out hope for more Draconomicon-style books, like a FCIII. Quite a bit of time passed between Stormwrack and the next "environment" book, Cityscape.

Maybe a combined Modron/Slaadi book. They could even get cute and have half the pages upside down and a front cover on each side, like those 2 in 1 books.

Well, I'd buy it. :)

same, here - although my hope is dwindling.

Tome of Horrors Revised has 3.5 stats for the CR 29 Slaad Lord of Entropy (Ygorl), and the CR 27 Slaad Lord of the Insane (Ssendam).

Their personal (Non-title) names only appear in the credits section of their entries.

So it's a common consensus that Ygorl is more powerful than Ssendam?
