Slaves of the Dragon (orsal judging)

Leaving Felden for the south, then riding in a circle, you meet back with the rest of the group in the early evening on the road. Jakub looks at you with interest, asking "How are things in Felden? Any signs of kobold activity?"

Farid scratches his head, "... Actually, Felden seems completely devoid of even the notion of a kobold. Either Felden is completely separated from the rest of society or Grenton is. Either seems very possible, though." He looks around at his companions and shrugs, "Probably a perfect place to use as our meeting place, as long as we try not to cause a stir. Then again, anything new in that place might cause a stir."

"Won't the size of the group will attract a bit too much attention? We are big enough and armed enough to wipe out a small village after all."

"Opale has a good point. We probably would scare the town if we all showed up suddenly. But then what do we do for a place to plan or retreat to if things go wrong?"

"... How would a group of travellers scare the town? The impression I got from them is that they'd welcome newcomers, as they are isolated from the rest of the world."

"It would clearly generate talk and rumors, but that shouldn't be much of a problem with no kobolds around. You say they are isolated, Master Farid? Did you hear anything about Grenton?"

Farid tries to think back, "Hm, not much. They did say that there have been visitors to Grenton -- and that was the only reason people go through their town. But fewer people pass through. Basically, what they know about Grenton only affects their own town."

"The other thing I don't want to see is the kobold or the dragon track us back and decide to make the village pay what we did. I just hope we will be able to do the job right."

"If anything, the rumors might help us out," Jack comments, "We won't have to look so hard, if the buggers come to us."
