Slaves of the Dragon (orsal judging)

Jeline suddenly looks to the northern watchtower, where the flags have suddenly switched position, then looks around. "Nerlos, such a dutyful soul. It seems we're getting visitors from the north. Must be humans, from the flags, so I guess they're from Felden."

Planus is excited to see his friends from Feldon again -at least, he met some of them once so he thinks of them as friends. He stands up on his tip toes trying to see to the north.

Jeline and Joran ask a few villagers to keep their eyes towards the south, in case the worst fears come true and a kobold troop arrives, and join the adventurers to greet the Felden visitors.

The people from Felden - a small group of ten, armed with clubs - seems to be cautious as they approach. Slightly relieved to see that there seems to be no problems, one of them speaks up. "A few farmers saw lots of smoke in the area, and we figured we'd try to rush for aid. The smoke stopped while we were on our way, but we had to come to make sure everything is ok." He glances at the adventurers, and continues "I take it that these guys helped you?"

Katherine smiles. "We were able to e of some assistance, yes, and hope to continue..." She glances at Jeline, defering to the young woman on whether she would like to share the recent situation or not.

The concept of people helping other people is so alien to Veras-Re that it gives him pause. Then the gears of his mind start working: Ahh, he thinks, they must be here to loot!

"Indeed they were." Jeline smiles. "What's with the clubs?"

"There's kobolds around, it seems. Some merchant carried a few kobold prisoners through Felden, recently, and yesterday, there was that one scaly bugger that yelped on about some Astorian, or something, and how we should beware of him. Odd that it'd be alone, I heard these beasts come in packs."

Joran glances at the group, and then speaks up "I guessed something like that. Eskaron might try to expand towards Felden. I guess we won't learn if that kobold was on his side or not." Turning to the Feldeners, he continues "Grenton has been under the control of the kobolds for a long time, and towards visitors like you, we had to pretend that our blight was actually a harsh drought. A creature named Eskaron, who might be a dragon, or might be a ... what was the word? ... werecreature, seems to control them. When you return to Felden, make sure to prepare against that." He looks at Katherine "You suggested silver might help against Eskaron. Does it need to be applied to weapons?"
