Sleeper in the Tomb of Dreams (Dungeon #155) - any advice?

I'm gonna run "Sleeper in the Tomb of Dreams", from Dungeon #155, next session. Anyone got experience with this one? Any advice?

The party will be minimal, just 4 characters strong. The characters are spanking-new level-8 characters, advanced in a single jump from level 3. So I'm expecting to need to tone down the opposition - any thoughts on that would be especially appreciated.

I'm going to tie the story up with the end of Shadowfell Keep. I have my idea how - the rift would be to the Far Realm, and something creepy is gonna come out - but any further ideas would be nice.

Any encounter unbalanced? Any pitholes to notice? Any ideas on how to make things more interesting, or just fun tales to share from your own experience?

Feel free to share your thoughts :)

I would definitely milk the Raven Queen pilgrim scene as much as possible. Keep the PCs talking to them as long as you can, until they get bored. I'd also play up the Three with the kid. Because that's just cool.

Have you taken a look at Last Breath of Ashenport? Not sure about your campaign, but it might be an appropriate follow-up adventure.

I'll actually have to look back at the adventure to see the real details. The one area that seemed fairly confusing to me was the hanging trap.

Thanks!

Yes, it is indeed my intention to use Last Breath of Ashenport as a follow-up. If you have any ideas on that, that too would be welcome. :)

Ashenport

Great story and atmosphere, but be prepared that it's a pretty brutal module. It's timed, so there isn't much opportunity to completely rest, and the monsters are tough as all heck. I think there are some threads with errata on this module, and I'd strongly recommend reading them first, because it's just nasty as it is.
