Sleeping Imperium Site?

Re: From the horse's mouth...

Howdy folks,

I've had a few e-mails about the Sleeping Imperium site. Here's the skinny:

The site is shut down. I closed it around August, when I found out that I acquired a job teaching fourth grade in a rural school district. (I had about two days notice on my job and move, so I did not have the time to notify anyone that the site was shutting down.)

At this time, I have no intention of re-starting the site or posting content to the web. That could change in a few months. Right now, I'm too doggone busy learning the ropes of a new career, grading papers, and writing lesson plans.

If I do start a new site, I probably won't have much (if any) d20 content on it. I'm smitten with the Fudge rules. It's much easier to create what I desire with that rules-set, rather than retro-fit the d20 system.

Since I'm in a rural location, my internet connection is extraordinarily slow. Also, my Hotmail box clogs if I try to send a message larger than 100k. For those two reasons, I avoid sending files to folks who request them.

Hope that answers all of y'all's questions. I appreciate your interest in the site and my work. And I wish you the best as you play d20 games.

Thanks,
Ken Hood

Thank you for posting Ken!

Wish you the best

Indeed, all the best, and thanks for the post, Mr Hood.

On sort of a side note, anyone here play The Riddle of Steel? If so, any idea on how to convert the d20 Skills and Feats Psionics system to it? A campaign setting that's brewing in my head would work best with the Riddle of Steel rules, IF I can come up with a decent conversion for psionics. If I can't, then I'll simply use d20 Grim n Gritty to pull the campaign off (they have aspects in common... deadlier combat, exceedingly powerful magic, etc).

Hasta la pasta, all

Lucien

Edit: clarified my syntax a bit.

Start a new thread Lucien if you you want to talk about The Riddle of Steel.

No one else but me (AFAIK) is reading this thread

BTW I do play Riddle, its awesome but I have never thought of using D20 Skills and Feats Psionics with it. I am going to have to think about it a bit

Well, I've been reading this thread, but to keep it on topic: I sent KH an e-mail offering to host the files at The Reprieve, since I think it would be an absolute shame for his work to just vanish from the net completely.

I await his reply with fingers crossed.
