(Slightly Rantish) Players That Have Gone the Way of Vapor

We haven't had a game session in nearly three months. Why? I don't know.

One guy was moving a while back. About three weeks after our last session, they called me to say all was well again and we'd get back to playing. Another month passed, no see, and I get another call saying that all's straightened out and we'd get back to playing. Now, about two weeks have passed since then and I've no idea what's up.

We usually get together on Everquest once a week too, and nobody's been on there forever, either...

So, now I'm sticking with PbP for now, I guess.

Call them and confront them. Demand they show up or just play with out them.

Are you guys actually scheduling a time and date to game? Have you actually contacted them and said "let's play a game at XX:XX on Saturday XX/XX"?

Sounds like the lack of communication may go both ways. Have you been actively trying to reach them? Might be they think you are blowing them off.

Meet up with them in the 1:1. Reconnect and find out what they are up too.

If that's not the case, start up a free Yahoo group or something along that line. Reel them in.

Sometimes life just gets in the way.

Two of my friends got jobs at the same place and those jobs work on the weekends, when we normally play.

One of my friends is finally hitting it off with a woman who he can deal with.

One of 'em works alternative weekends.

Another one can't stand another one.

I know how it is. The IK group I'm running just evaporated (one of the players doesn't really like to play, and no-one's really enthusiastic about it), and the AU/3.5 game has had severe scheduling difficulties, from my job and one of the players' parent-enforced job hunt. Oh well.

My group hasn't played D&D in quite a while due to either jobs, girlfriends (well mine at least- the others are all single), or other real life situations. We just couldn't get together. But we did get to play last Saturday minus one from my group with another group. Seven PC's, 10th level going thru Maure Castle, I'm playing Erslin- 10th Cleric of Pelor. I'm hoping to play again this weekend before my girlfriend comes back from overseas because she'll be taking a lot of my free time then.
