Small World Sequel?

I love that game, and dig the expansions. This sounds fun.

I've seen it played and heard good things, and it looks cool, but what has been your experience with it?

I've enjoyed the games of Small World I've played, but it's a little too light (and somewhat fiddly with all the pieces) for me to play it often.

Merchants and Marauders, on the other hand, is getting a lot of play right now.

We love it! It's fun, easy to learn, has very good replayability, and requires a bit of strategy. Since play time is comparably short we often start our board game evenings with a session of Small World.

I love Small World. It's a quick play with a seasoned group even with a larger number of players. The ever changing line up of races and powers keeps it fresh. The mechanics are straightforward but the strategy can be fairly sophisiticated for a game of its duration.

It has a regular place on our game night game rotations. We also play Talisman, some Runebound and various other games less often but Small World is always up there.
