One of the annoying things about 3e is how huge every room and hallway is, because of 5' facing. Most places have 10' corridors... that's wide enough to drive a wagon down! Do you think this will be/can be addressed in 4e?
I know that typical 4' hallways don't make for very exciting fights, but when rooms have to be 40 x 40 to give a party and their enemies enough room to fight, it's a little crazy.
Maybe there need to be more extensive "close quarters fighting" rules, beyond just those when you're "squeezing"... or is squeezing a good enough mechanic?
I think I might try that in my next campaign - indoor fights are on 2.5 foot squares, and you're always considered squeezing... the half movement rate would be nicely covered by the half size squares, so you'd still be moving the same number of squares. 5' steps become 2.5' steps... no biggie. I think I like it.
