O{kay, it starts out with a couple in a car. Woman very pregnant giving birth. Guy driving and on phone to paramedics it seems. Here stomach starts to glow, he swerves and goes into afield. THe stomach starts moving unnaturally and glowing. The guy bolts even though the women begs him to not. THe glow engulfs the car and almost seems liquid in its movements (cool effects). Of course clark and lana happen to be driving by. They see the glow come across the road, stop, lana rushes out and finds a baby in a blanket in a crater in the field.

SPOILERS!!

sorry, I forgot the rest. THere are three things that are basiocally going on here. The first is the plot with the boy that ages. About once a day he ages like 7 years. Clark and Lana try to deal with him and hew is sort of like their son though he does eventually die in abig flash. The second is the idea that everyone has limited time since they see this poor kid grow up and die in days. THere are some Lana Clark moments that really seem to be building to them getting together again, and some moments were you think they might kiss but they don't. THe third is completely seperate between Linel and Jason's mom whatever her name is. She threatens linel, he poisons her and demands the rock. I can't recall if she ever gave it to him though. I think the scene just ended with her agreeing to give the rock so she could get the antidote.

The most disappointing thing about the show was that there was pretty much no real interaction between Clark and Chloe. There was more between Lana and Chloe. After last week's ending, I was really hoping for something more than Clark zipping off behind Chloe, again, and her having a knowing smile.

It was an OK episode. Not great, just OK. I for one would like to have seen Lana and Clark grow a little closer, and maybe they did, but not much evidence of that from what I recall.

The Lex, Lionel, Guen stuff was great. I know they were going for a "how far will a parent go" theme but the Clark/Lana stuff, aside from the kid thinking they were his parents and loved each other very much was kinda weak and even laughable in spots. Anyone who has been reading these posts knows that I am a big defender of this show and really like it alot but this ep left me pretty flat, especially for an end-of-season ep. I'm pretty sure the events of this show will come back into play later on (the scientific discoveries didn't seem small by any means).

One of my favorite parts was the labored conversation between Clark and Lex. Clark tells Lex that he'll be a great dad someday and everyone in that room and every viewer knows exactly the opposite would be true. The Clark/Lex moments are what make this show kick.
